As we get deeper into the season, Chester Rugby Club is excited to share progress on our Player Pathway initiative. This year, our Senior Colts (SCs) have been actively training with the senior men on Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing invaluable experience for our younger players. Several of our talented SCs have already made their debuts for the 2nd and 3rd teams, showcasing the seamless transition from youth to senior rugby.
This season, we’re pleased to welcome some of our more accomplished U15 players into the training sessions of the Player Pathway. They are settling in well and displaying a strong eagerness to learn, which is a promising sign for the future of our club. In addition, several U15 coaches have begun to engage with the pathway, enhancing support for our players and contributing to the professional development of our coaching staff.
Last night, we had the pleasure of meeting with U15 players, parents, and coaches alongside Jimmy Preston to discuss the intricacies of the Player Pathway. We outlined its aims, objectives, and the benefits it brings not only to individual players but to the club as a whole. It was heartening to see such positive engagement, with parents and players asking insightful questions that demonstrated their enthusiasm and commitment.
As we progress through the season, it's evident that our commitment to developing young talent is stronger than ever. We are proud of our Pathway Players and grateful for the support of coaches and parents, which is crucial as we move forward. Here’s to a successful rest of the season for all our players!
