It was a beautiful, tranquil, Sunday morning in Wilmslow for our second full game of the season...... until the Chester U13 pack rolled up and absolutely dominated the scrum. Winning consistently against the head with awesome teamwork, great technique and a desire to win. The forwards were having it all their own way and creating a great platform for the backs who weren't always quite up to scratch despite running in try after try. The opposition had fewer opportunities, but played to their strengths utilising a strong winger down the left in particular.
A steeper back line in the second half created more chances, but handling errors were costly in some cases.
All in all another good win for the team, built on great scrummaging.
